4. Employer Stresses about Your ‘Ability’ to two jobs
Some employers may have a negative opinion of moonlighters from the get go and many not judge you fairly based on their own prejudices.
If they find out you have been performing other work on the side, they may begin to think about that more than you’d like them too.
In fact, they may fairly well stress about you and your ability to perform two jobs.
Since stress is never a good thing, you certainly don’t want your employer to be thinking about you with worry. By preventing your employer’s stress, you’ll also be preventing your own! It’s also worth remembering that everybody has their off days at work whether they moonlight or not.
People have busy lives outside of the office. Some people may take on a second job while others struggle to keep up with the needs of their family. If you look tired one day, you don’t want your boss blaming your side job as the reason.
In fact, your employer could easily begin to blame every error you make on the fact they you have a side job. To avoid this scenario, just keep your moonlighting activities to yourself! This way you’ll save everyone involved a lot of stress.
