10. The Real 3rd Person View
If you have a major gig in front of you and your text needs to seriously be “from the top shelf”, it would be wise to have an outside copyeditor who will take a look at your work and give you real, impartial feedback.
Let’s face it, it is pretty difficult to acknowledge errors in your own work, which is why a third party is needed.
Either find a professional copyeditor to do check your work, or hire someone from your private life. However, make sure this person is up to the task.
They will simply need to be excellent at grammar and spelling, at least, while a creative person won’t hurt either.
