7 Easy Steps to Get Started Selling on Ebay Today

Step #7: Ship your item

Once you’ve found a willing buyer for your item, it’s time to ship it. Ebay has a shipping center that can help you handle many of the details of shipping your item.

When you’re ready to ship, you’ll want to select a good box to send your item in. This box should be sturdy and bigger than the item.

Once you’ve placed your item in the box, secure it with cushioning by adding bubble wrap or packaging peanuts.

If you’ll be sending a fragile item (such as china or glassware), it would be best to wrap your item in bubble wrap several times.

After that put a layer of packaging peanuts in your box then add your item that’s been wrapped and cover with additional packaging peanuts.

You should also write the word ‘Fragile’ in several places on the box. You can do this with a marker or rubber stamp.

Once you’ve securely packaged your item, it’s time to get your label. You can print your label right from your computer or laptop.

The label is free but you’ll pay for the postage and any extras you want to tack on like insurance. Before printing a label, be sure to check that both addresses (yours and the recipient’s) are correct.

If you follow the tips above, you should enjoy doing business through Ebay. Your buyer is allowed to leave feedback about your product and you’re allowed to leave feedback about your buyer.

If you have a buyer that hasn’t left feedback, take a moment to write something positive on their profile. Then message your buyer and ask them to do the same.

This is a great way to gain positive feedback and the more positive feedback, the easier it will be to sell your items on Ebay.
