The battle between full-time vs. freelance writing doesn’t have a clear winner, which is why we wish to address both options and explore the pros and cons of each.

We’ll compare full-time writing from home vs. freelance writing, which can obviously be done anywhere, to establish a level playing field.

One of the clearest advantages of full-time writing is knowing you will have a steady flow of work on a regular basis.

If there is a set number of topics you write about you can quickly learn the basics and easily expand your knowledge, spending less and less time researching and more time putting your creative wits at work.

On the other hand, full-time writing usually entails providing top-notch articles for a set price. As a freelancer, you can negotiate your price and with a high number of clients at the end of the day most likely make more money than a full-timer.

The downside, obviously, is not always knowing how much work you’ll have, as well as getting to that high number of clients to make freelancing worth it.

So what should you do?

In our extensive experience, we’ve learned that getting the best of both worlds works wonders for both one’s resume and budget. If you can get full-time work as a writer and write a couple of articles on the weekends as a freelancer you’ll be getting more experience, more clients and more $$$!
